Message: I have recently aquired an antique churn. As best that i can make out from the label it was made in Jedburgh, Scotland. I believe the the name on it reads as Wavenley Churn. it also has the word Sintons and the patent OAX on the same tag. Although, it is not complete I am trying to get a history on it and maybe try and restore it. It is missing the hardware and a piece of wood. Thank you any help, Ron White   (Ref: 437)

Message: Last week I found myself in Jedburgh. I am a student at Kirkley hall and my class was on the way to Edinburgh for a class trip and Jedburgh seemed like an ideal stopping place for a tea and toilet break. After being cooped up on a bus we were relieved to be outside and a little run around woke us up. (not that we weren't already up a height haha!) We liked the little place so much that on the way back we put up a good argument to stop in Jedburgh again :) Thankyou for having a good village. And nice rocks. And river.   (Ref: 436)

Message: My family have visited Jedburgh on several occasions an always thought it an idyllic town. Little did we realise what goes on after dark. Last year we travelled down for the weekend to take part in the Half-Marathon. In the time it took us to go from our hotel to a restaurant we had three incidents with neds. 1) 100 yards from the Glenbank House Hotel we were accosted by two neds who shouted abuse as we went past. 2) Minutes later a group of 12 year olds pulled down their trousers and urinated yards away from us 3) A group of about 12 youths standing near the abbey, threw stones at cars and pedestrians. We went to the police station but discovered that it closes in the evening. After this welcome we resolved never to go near Jedburgh again.    (Ref: 429)
