Food and Drink Information

Currently, there is a total of 28 establishments listed.

Jedburgh has a wealth of Eating Out establishments which should amply satisfy all tastes and pockets. From hotels & award-winning restaurants to pubs and coffee shops, there is real choice for the visitor.

Traditional and modern Scottish cooking can be found alongside pub food and Oriental food and if the weather is fair you can eat alfresco in the High Street! Or if you want an instant picnic the bakers in the town will be happy to oblige.

Scotland has it own unique versions of 'fast food' including stovies and scotch pies:
  • Stovies are a potato-based dish with onions, meat & vegetables - the name originates from the dish being cooked on a stove - and are available along with filled rolls & soup, etc. from both High Street bakers.

  • Scotch Pies are round crusty pies made with minced mutton or beef. Scotch Pies are universally available in all food outlets throughout the town but you might like particularly to try those made by Allan Learmonth, a high quality traditional family butcher, towards the top of High Street.
The choice is yours and if you need help to decide most menus can be viewed at the tourist information centre on Murray's Green.
